Hemlock’s Private Chef-Led Tasting Experience
Socrates Table is Hemlock’s most intimate dining experience, hosted inside the private Socrates Room at Hemlock. Each dinner centers on a singular culinary theme presented through a multi-course tasting menu with curated beverage pairings.
Limited to 12 guests, the evening is guided by Executive Chef Nick Fisher, who leads guests through each course with insight into the ingredients, techniques, storytelling and inspiration behind the menu.
This program is presented as a monthly series, with a new culinary focus each time.

July Socrates Table
Smoke, Memory, & Vine
Socrates Table presents Smoke, Memory, & Vine, an evening exploring the connection between fire, nostalgia, and the flavors that linger long after the final course. Through smoke-kissed preparations, nostalgic flavors, and thoughtfully paired wines, the experience invites guests into a conversation around memory, craftsmanship, and the rituals that bring people together around the table.
Guests will experience a chef-led multi-course tasting menu featuring layered seasonal dishes ranging from charred oysters and sweet corn agnolotti to coffee-rubbed beef, smoked BBQ pork, and bourbon peach pie. Each course is designed to balance richness, texture, and warmth while showcasing elevated technique alongside familiar flavors reimagined through the Hemlock lens.
The evening begins with a welcome cocktail before guests are guided through the tasting menu by Chef Nick Fisher, who will share the inspiration behind each course and the culinary ideas that shaped the progression of the evening. Thoughtful wine pairings accompany each course, creating an immersive dining experience centered around conversation, hospitality, and discovery.
